Angela Nelia Ramirez is a lifelong resident of Zapata County. She graduated from Zapata High School and immediately enrolled at Laredo Community College. Her life experiences provided her with a strong desire to give back to her community and she soon graduated with a degree as a certified occupational therapist assistant. She aspired to give back and make a difference to the children of our community. She has been working with ZCISD since 1999 and has become a vital component of our related services team.

Vanessa A. Gonzalez is a proud graduate of Zapata High School. In 2015 she received her A.A.S. from Laredo Community College's Physical Therapist Assistant program with Cum Laude honors. Vanessa has dreamed of giving back to her community by providing health care services to patients of all ages and health conditions. Her love for physical activity and mobility was her inspiration. She has finally fulfilled her lifelong dream of giving back by becoming part of the ZCISD and working to help provide care services for our students.

Education Code 1.002(a) No officer or employee of a district shall, when acting or purporting to act in an official capacity, refuse to permit any student to participate in any school program because of the student’s race, religion, color, sex, or national origin. Code 106.001 The District may not deny services to any individual eligible to participate in its special education program, but it shall provide individuals with disabilities special educational services as authorized by law. Education Code 1.002(b).
