Education Summit
An Education Summit was open to all who wished to attend, along with the staff. The summit was designed to serve as an introduction to the Zapata County ISD Design work, a discussion of the future of education in the district, challenges facing Zapata County ISD and the community, and the necessary knowledge and skills students must have to be successful in the future they create for themselves.
An Education Summit was open to all who wished to attend, along with the staff. The summit was designed to serve as an introduction to the Zapata County ISD Design work, a discussion of the future of education in the district, challenges facing Zapata County ISD and the community, and the necessary knowledge and skills students must have to be successful in the future they create for themselves.
On January 11, 2023, 5:30-7:30 pm, over 400 participants in person and virtual were engaged in a collaborative discussion and responses were accepted using a digital response tool. The evening summit on January 11th was conducted with translation support to provide parents and community members an opportunity to lend their voice in their preferred language.
