Zapata County ISD

Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders

Meet the Superintendent

Dr. Roberta Trevino

Welcome to a brand new school year at Zapata County ISD!

Our theme for 2025–2026 is “Rise and Shine,” and it serves as both a call to action and a celebration of who we are. Each morning brings a new opportunity—to learn, to grow, to lead, and to make a difference. Whether you are a student walking into your classroom, a teacher preparing lessons that inspire, or a staff member ensuring our campuses are safe and welcoming—your light matters.

At ZCISD, we believe in the strength of unity, the power of purpose, and the importance of showing up with heart and excellence. This year, we will continue to focus on academic achievement, student engagement, and positive school culture. You’ll see us leaning into instructional excellence, supporting the whole child, and creating environments where every student feels valued and empowered.

As your superintendent, I am deeply honored to lead this incredible district. I am committed to being present in our schools, visible in our classrooms, and connected to our community. Together, we will continue to build on our progress and create even more opportunities for success.

So, as we begin this school year, let’s rise with determination and shine with purpose. Our students are counting on us—and I have no doubt that together, we will make this our brightest year yet.

Let’s Rise and Shine, ZCISD!
